Lumilab raises funding led by Giant Ventures to bring applied intelligence to energy infrastructure

Spun out of research at the University of Copenhagen, Lumilab brings applied intelligence to energy assets. Over the past 12 months, Lumilab has grown to supporting operations across 45,000 assets, such as EV chargers, payment terminals, depot equipment and battery systems, in more than 30 countries, including Denmark, Germany, England and France.

Maintaining EV chargers, solar panels and batteries requires teams to work across fragmented data and software systems. While global electrification drives growth in the number of energy assets, identifying issues and coordinating action remain largely manual. Operators spend time reviewing error logs and cross-referencing data across systems. 

Lumilab connects data and workflows in a shared operations layer. AI agents monitor operations, detect and investigate issues, and take action across systems. Operators remain in control, orchestrating workflows and assigning tasks to the AI agents. 

Applied intelligence improves the performance of energy assets, making them more reliable and efficient, increasing the return of investment on every asset deployed.
