AMBU APPOINTS BOARD OBSERVER, PLANS BOARD MEMBER NOMINATION

Copenhagen, Denmark, 28 September 2026 – Ambu, the global market leader in single-use endoscopy, today announces that Jose Ignacio (Nacho) Abia Buenache has been appointed as an observer to Ambu’s Board of Directors and will be proposed for election as a member of the Board at the Company’s upcoming annual general meeting on 2 December 2026.

Nacho Abia currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Grifols, a global pharmaceutical company with annual revenue exceeding EUR 7 billion.

Prior to joining Grifols in 2024, Abia spent more than two decades at Olympus Corporation, where he held several senior executive positions, including Global Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive Officer of Olympus Americas, and Global Chief Strategy Officer.
