Signia MaX, Powered by Acoustic Intelligence™: World’s First AI Hearing Aid Platform with 4 DNNs

Lynge, Denmark – August 24, 2026 – Hearing aid innovator Signia, part of WSA, today introduced Signia Multi-adaptive Xperience (MaX), the world’s first multi-dimensional AI hearing aid platform with 4 DNNs powered by Acoustic Intelligence™, helping wearers fully participate in life’s most vibrant, noisy moments.

Most hearing aids perform well in one-on-one conversations but struggle to keep up in real-life dynamic settings. That’s because they apply the power of AI in only one dimension: noise reduction. That approach can make the world quieter – but at the cost of connection and immersion.

Powered by Acoustic Intelligence™, Signia MaX continuously analyzes multiple dimensions of sound simultaneously – including 1) speech, 2) noise, 3) environmental conditions, and 4) the wearer’s own voice – enabling hearing that adapts to the full listening moment, not just the noise.

Jose Alves, Head of Signia, said:

We know that the biggest unmet need for hearing aid wearers is the ability to fully engage in the dynamic group conversations that happen in noisy, multi-talker environments. With Signia MaX, we’ve moved beyond the limitations of one-dimensional AI, unlocking system intelligence that understands the full moment. Acoustic Intelligence represents a new frontier in AI sound processing, fundamentally reimagining what hearing care professionals can offer their patients – and what patients can expect from their hearing aids.

Acoustic Intelligence: Four Deep Neural Networks, One Unified Understanding

Acoustic Intelligence unites four task-specific Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) – Speech Detection, Own Voice Detection, Scene Analysis, and Noise Processing – each trained to understand a different dimension of sound while working together as one coordinated system. Unlike traditional hearing aid architectures that primarily apply AI to a single function, Acoustic Intelligence™ continuously shares information across all four deep neural networks, enabling sound processing decisions that account for the complete listening environment in real-time.

This multi-dimensional understanding of the soundscape allows Acoustic Intelligence to power the four core features of MaX:

  • RealTime Conversation EnhancementAI – Locates and enhances multiple conversation partners in dynamic group conversation. It now processes 75% more data points per second compared to Signia IX.
  • Own Voice ProcessingAI – Provides immediate, accurate own voice recognition without any in-clinic calibration.
  • Ambient Scene AdaptationAI – Moves beyond traditional scene classification and fixed listening programs to continuously analyze and adapt to multiple environmental characteristics.
  • Dynamic Noise ControlAI – Understands what noise is present, where it comes from, and whether the wearer is in conversation – adjusting noise reduction appropriately.

By combining this integrated AI processing with Signia’s ultra-fast ear-to-ear technology, the MaX platform also helps ensure both hearing aids remain continuously synchronized as the listening environment changes. This allows Acoustic Intelligence™ to operate as a coordinated binaural system, supporting faster, more consistent sound processing decisions across both ears in real time.

The platform is powered by the new Signia MaX chip which delivers 54X more processing power than previous generations, 50% greater energy efficiency for all-day, always-on performance, and 2X the memory required for continuous real-time analysis.

Alves continued:

MaX brings the full power of Acoustic Intelligence to the moments that matter most, helping wearers stay engaged in noisy group conversations and confidently Live Noisy.

Signia Pure C&G MaX: Designed for Every Day

The Pure C&G MaX receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aid will be the first hearing aid available on the Signia MaX platform. Available in eight color options, the Pure C&G MaX is designed to suit a range of wearers’ lifestyles.

It ships with a pocket-size portable charger that stores up to four full charges, provides a full charge in four hours, and delivers up to six hours of runtime from just 30 minutes of charging.

It also boasts OneConnect Technology – supporting Bluetooth® Classic, LE Audio, Telecoil and Auracast™ connectivity, giving HCPs one platform that meets every patient’s connectivity needs.

Alves concluded:

With Signia Pure C&G MaX, connectivity no longer needs to define the hearing aid conversation. Powered by OneConnect technology, it gives hearing care professionals one complete connectivity solution, so they do not need to begin by asking what phone a wearer has. They can focus on the patient’s audiological needs, listening environments, and desired outcomes – knowing they are fitting a device built for today and ready for tomorrow.

Signia MaX will be available in several key markets, including the U.S., Germany, and the Nordics, on August 24. The majority of remaining markets will follow later in 2026.
