New capabilities help organizations move from fragmented information to confident action while keeping people in control

“For many organizations, GRC work is slowed by fragmented systems, manual coordination and time-consuming reporting processes,” said Brian Stafford, President and CEO of Diligent. “Our latest agentic capabilities help teams cut through that complexity by connecting context, surfacing what matters and driving faster execution — while keeping governance and professional judgement at the center."
An orchestration agent that coordinates work and approvals
The orchestration agent in Diligent One gives GRC professionals a natural-language interface to coordinate audit and risk work. Instead of simply answering questions, it enables users to describe what they need, and routes work to the right specialized agents to execute workflows. Agents are built on Diligent One’s connected GRC data, giving them the domain knowledge to execute workflows across the audit and risk lifecycle, automating the work that slows practitioners down without replacing human judgement.
Through Diligent One, specialized agents:
- Help risk teams move from periodic assessments to continuous management by working directly in Diligent Enterprise Risk Management. The agent monitors risk data, cleans records, coordinates assessments, follows up on overdue actions, escalates issues and surfaces emerging risks.
- Help internal audit teams plan and execute audits faster by turning manual preparation into conversational workflows in Diligent Audit. The agent identifies relevant risks, maps them to audit objectives, links existing controls and supports evidence collection, testing and findings development.
In addition, AI reporting turns live risk and controls data into board-ready reports and insights on demand. Using conversational prompts or templates, teams can quickly surface key findings and generate polished, secure, source-cited reports in minutes instead of days — eliminating hours spent manually pulling together data, insights and presentations.
“Risk and audit teams are being asked to look beyond what happened yesterday and give the business the insights it needs to make better decisions today and tomorrow,” said Scott Bridgen, General Manager, Risk & Audit at Diligent. “That means moving from static, point-in-time reporting to always-on monitoring that can identify changes as they happen and trigger action in real time, with the right level of oversight, approval and accountability.”
AI that reasons like a GRC expert
At the foundation of Diligent One is the GRC brain, a connected intelligence layer that links regulations, obligations, policies, controls, risks, evidence and actions. By connecting this information, the GRC brain gives agents the domain knowledge to work like an experienced GRC practitioner, equipped with deep context of how information connects across the business.
This connected intelligence gives Diligent One’s agents the ability to reason across relationships to deliver sharper insights and clearly explain the rationale behind the recommendations. The result is practical, actionable intelligence that helps GRC teams prioritize work, surface potential gaps and respond more efficiently to emerging risks. The GRC brain will become available in select Diligent solutions in October.
Diligent is showcasing its latest agentic capabilities at Gartner ERAC in Dallas on September 15-16, Booth 201.

Study: Heatwaves Increase Cough Urge, Which Salt Aerosols Reduce15.9.2026 15:15:00 CEST | Press release
New Study Indicates Non-Pharmacological Aerosol May Provide Therapeutic Relief for Respiratory Conditions Provoked by the Atmospheric Aridity Inherent to Heatwaves SC Therapeutics, with University North Carolina, Imperial College London, and Boston University, announced publication on Tuesday in Nature Scientific Reports of results from a multi-institutional study indicating that the aridity inherent in heatwaves increases cough hypersensitivity in human airways by collapsing mucus onto cilia in a manner common to chronic respiratory diseases, such as cystic fibrosis, and asthma. The researchers find that alkaline aerosols of magnesium salts reverse mucosal collapse for several hours, and reduce cough hypersensitivity as reflected in placebo-adjusted suppression of daily cough bout rate (59%, p=0.03) and persistence of suppression post treatment for 1 to 3 weeks in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of 10 refractory chronic cough patients. “Paris recorded 5,764 excess

AI Investment Is Outpacing Organizations' Ability to Realize Value, New HTEC Research Finds15.9.2026 14:47:00 CEST | Press release
Global survey of 1,500 C-level executives shows value realization sits at the intersection of investment, organizational readiness, governance and ability to measure desired outcomes and warns of a widening gap that is bottlenecking returns on AI. HTEC, a global product engineering and AI transformation company, today released preview findings from its AI Value Realization Report 2026, based on a survey of 1,500 C-level executives across the US, UK, Germany, and the UAE.
