AMBU ACQUIRES TIMS MEDICAL TO ADVANCE ENDOINTELLIGENCE
14.9.2026 15:00:00 CEST | Ambu A/S | Press release
The acquisition expands Ambu's endoscopy offering with established hospital integration and workflow technology and access to around 7,000 installations across U.S. hospitals, accelerating the Company's EndoIntelligence™ agenda.

Copenhagen, Denmark, 14 September 2026 – Ambu, the global market leader in single-use endoscopy, today announces it has acquired Foresight Imaging, LLC (“TIMS Medical”), a U.S.-based MedTech company specializing in imaging and reporting solutions designed for integration with hospital workflows and IT systems.
The purchase price consists of an upfront payment of USD 45m and additional milestone payments of up to USD 20m. TIMS Medical is expected to contribute approximately USD 15m in annual revenue and to be revenue growth accretive to Ambu.
The acquisition of TIMS Medical expands Ambu’s endoscopy offering with proven connectivity, reporting, and documentation capabilities, as well as access to around 7,000 installations across U.S. hospitals, thereby expanding Ambu’s customer reach. This combination accelerates Ambu’s EndoIntelligence agenda and further advances the Company’s position as a full-solution endoscopy partner, in line with its ZOOM AHEAD strategy.
“The acquisition of TIMS Medical is a strategic step in our aspiration to achieve global endoscopy leadership, strengthening our ability to deliver integrated and innovative solutions, for a more connected and efficient experience for our customers,” says Britt Meelby Jensen, Chief Executive Officer of Ambu. “TIMS Medical has built an impressive platform that is deeply embedded in clinical workflows across the U.S. By combining their proven capabilities with Ambu’s endoscopy portfolio, we can offer a more connected workflow, improve efficiency for clinicians, and help healthcare providers treat more patients.”
In the face of growing patient volumes and resource constraints, healthcare providers are increasingly demanding solutions that simplify administration and improve access to clinical information across hospital systems. Ambu's EndoIntelligence platform is designed to address these needs by connecting hardware, software, and AI to support more integrated workflows. TIMS Medical strengthens Ambu's platform with capabilities that support more connected and efficient workflows for customers.
The most immediate opportunity is within Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT), where TIMS Medical holds an established position, including in FEES procedures.1 Today, many hospitals already use Ambu and TIMS Medical solutions in combination. By bringing the two offerings together, Ambu can deliver a fully connected procedure workflow, linking visualization, connectivity, reporting, and documentation in one solution.
“For more than two decades, TIMS Medical has solved critical workflow challenges for hospitals and clinicians around imaging, connectivity, and documentation,” says Mark Mariotti, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TIMS Medical. “Joining Ambu, the leader in single-use endoscopy, gives us the opportunity to bring our technology to more customers, while continuing to support the hospitals and clinicians who rely on TIMS products today.”
Over time, Ambu sees attractive opportunities to further develop the TIMS Medical technology platform and expand its use across other endoscopy areas, in line with Ambu’s broader EndoIntelligence roadmap and market development priorities.
The transaction does not change Ambu’s financial guidance for the 2025/26 financial year.
