DFDS APPOINTS NEW CHIEF DIGITAL & INFORMATION OFFICER

INVESTOR NEWS no. 27 - 10 September 2026

DFDS has appointed Sandeep Shahi as Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) and member of the Executive Management Team. He will join DFDS on 16 November 2026, succeeding Rune Keldsen.

Sandeep Shahi joins DFDS from FedEx, where he currently serves as Chief Information Officer for Asia Pacific, the Middle East, India and South Africa, while also leading Global Field IT worldwide.

Prior to FedEx, he held senior technology leadership roles at DHL Group and SAP focused on how technology can help global logistics and supply chain organisations run more efficiently.

Sandeep Shahi brings extensive experience in technology leadership, operational excellence and standardisation across global organisations to DFDS.

"I am pleased to welcome Sandeep to DFDS and our Executive Management Team. He knows our industry well and has worked with many of the opportunities and challenges that come with running a large and complex business like ours. His experience will support our focus on customer service and continuous improvement of operational performance," says Michael Hansen, CEO of DFDS.

“DFDS is a company with a strong heritage and an important role in connecting supply chains and supporting trade across Europe. I am excited to join DFDS at this stage of its journey and look forward to working with colleagues across the organisation to build on the strong technology foundation already in place and support the company's future ambitions," says Sandeep Shahi.

Sandeep Shahi succeeds Rune Keldsen, who is leaving DFDS at the end of September 2026 after six years to become Chief Information Officer at Ørsted.
