Spirii enhances its EV charging platform with new eMSP capabilities

Copenhagen, Denmark - Spirii, a leading EV charging platform provider and an Edenred company, is expanding its platform capabilities to give Charge Point Operators (CPOs), fleets, and eMobility Service Providers (eMSPs) more control over how they build, manage, and operate their EV charging services.

The expansion covers advanced roaming and network control, driver access and pricing, CPO agreements, Charge Detail Record (CDR) validation, invoicing and reimbursement, branded driver experiences, and charging data and insights.

In practice, that plays out differently depending on the business: 

• For fleets, the new tools unify charging management across depots, workplaces, employees' homes, and public networks, with a consolidated view of network, access, usage, and costs. 

• For eMSPs and CPOs, the expanded capabilities let them offer public EV charging to their customers under their own brand via public APIs, while managing network access, pricing, and billing through Spirii. 

Spirii CEO Mathias Wiecher sees the expansion as part of a broader shift already playing out across the market. 

“Electric mobility is maturing, and so are the expectations of CPOs, fleets, and mobility providers,” says Mathias Wiecher, CEO of Spirii. “Broad roaming coverage is becoming a given. The next step is to give businesses more control over their charging services – from which networks their drivers can access and what they pay, to how they manage margins and shape the customer experience – while simplifying the complexity behind it.” 

One platform for infrastructure and mobility services 

The expansion strengthens a core part of Spirii’s platform strategy: bringing charging infrastructure management and mobility services together in one platform, while giving customers the flexibility to use the platform solutions they need. 

A fleet may manage its own depot chargers while relying on public charging on the road. A CPO may want to combine charge point management with its own branded charging service, while a mobility provider may simply want to offer EV charging without owning and operating chargers at all. 

Spirii supports these models within one platform, reducing the need for multiple systems as customers grow and their business models evolve. 

The expansion builds on Spirii's own experience operating eMobility services and building scalable charging technology. 

“We know from operating charging services ourselves that much of the complexity sits behind the driver experience,” says Wiecher. “Drivers simply expect to find a charger, start a session, and receive the right invoice. Behind that experience, mobility providers have to manage multiple charging networks, tariffs, and transactions. Our goal is to simplify that complexity while giving them full control of their offering, their brand, and their customer relationships.” 

The expanded eMSP offering is expected to be fully launched by the end of 2026, with selected customers already testing and using new capabilities in real-world operations ahead of the wider rollout.
