Ukraine House in Denmark Presents "Form in the Making" Exhibition at 3daysofdesign
8.6.2026 14:20:22 CEST | Ukraine House in Denmark | Pressemeddelelse
For the third year in a row, Ukraine House in Denmark joins 3daysofdesign, Copenhagen’s biggest design festival on June 10-12.
This year, together with the Ukrainian Association of Furniture Manufacturers, the Embassy of Ukraine in Denmark, and curators Anait Danielian and Larysa Tsybina, we present “Form in the Making” – a collective exhibition exploring how contemporary Ukrainian design is made today.

Contemporary design exists across several scales of production. On one side are large factories and advanced manufacturing facilities capable of producing objects in high volumes. On the other are small workshops working with limited editions and reviving the culture of craftsmanship.
It is precisely between industry and craft, between mass production and the unique object, that the field of contemporary design takes shape. At the center of this dialogue lies a fundamental question of form-making: what comes first — the idea or the method of its materialization? Does technology determine the form of an object, or does form dictate the method of production? Is every design object potentially reproducible? And where does the boundary lie between a utilitarian object and functional art?
Ukrainian design today demonstrates a high level of adaptability — both in approaches to form-making and in production processes. Manufacturers continuously respond to new challenges, combining manual and automated technologies. Designers work simultaneously with industrial production, small workshops, and craft practices, shaping a flexible system of object creation.
The Ukrainian collective exhibition proposes considering form as a point of intersection between idea, material, and method of production.
The exhibition unfolds through three directions: Industrial Design, Craft, and Functional Art.
Together, these approaches demonstrate how contemporary Ukrainian designers operate between industry, craftsmanship, and artistic experimentation. Within this interaction, form becomes a tool for understanding the relationship between idea, material, and production method.

Post-Release: Tymofii Brik on the Evolution of Ukrainian Society through Data on Social Change and Cohesion4.3.2026 12:21:51 CET | Pressemeddelelse
On January 22, Unity of Ukraine Day, Ukraine House in Denmark hosted a public discussion examining how Ukrainian society has transformed over the past three decades and what makes it resilient today amid full-scale war. Drawing on extensive sociological research, the event explored questions of trust, identity, decentralization, civil society, and polarization, offering a data-driven perspective that goes beyond simplified narratives. The discussion was moderated by Nataliia Popovych, who opened the event by framing Ukraine’s current resilience as the outcome of long-term social change rather than a sudden wartime phenomenon. The keynote presentation was delivered by Tymofii Brik, sociologist and rector of the Kyiv School of Economics, who presented findings from multiple national and international studies conducted before and during the war.

Ukraine House in Denmark Opens “Voices of Dignity: Literature of Resistance” Exhibition – A Century of Ukrainian Cultural Defiance20.2.2026 10:49:04 CET | Presseinvitation
On February 23, 2026, Ukraine House in Denmark opens its new exhibition “Voices of Dignity: Literature of Resistance” — an exploration of how Ukrainian literature has functioned not only as art, but as an act of resistance across the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. It is a tribute to the Ukrainian literary voices who were persecuted or silenced under imperial and totalitarian regimes, those who were killed as a result of Russia’s full-scale invasion, and those who continue to write under the conditions of war.
