- Ready-to-wear form factor enables same-day fittings without custom molds, with 97% of respondents reporting satisfaction with comfort.[1]

Lynge, Denmark – May 12, 2026 – Hearing aid innovator Signia, the leading hearing aid brand for speech understanding in noisy group conversations and part of WSA, today announced the launch of Active Mini IX, the world’s smallest ready-to-wear in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid that delivers the full audiological performance of the Signia Integrated Xperience (IX) platform in a discreet, rechargeable form factor.
As demand grows for discreet, easy-to-fit solutions that don’t compromise on performance, Active Mini IX offers hearing care professionals (HCPs) a new solution for patients that brings together the full Integrated Xperience (IX) platform, connectivity, and discreetness in an instant-fit device.
Active Mini IX leverages two microphones enabling the full IX platform – bringing capabilities traditionally reserved for larger hearing aids into an easy-to-use, ready-to-wear device.
Discreet, ready-to-wear hearing aids have traditionally required trade-offs – whether in performance, connectivity, or comfort, said Jose Alves, Head of Signia. For many patients, those limitations can stand in the way of hearing aid adoption. With Active Mini IX, we’re giving HCPs a new solution that delivers the ultimate balance of performance and discretion in an easy-to-use and ready-to-wear design.
Active Mini IX: Complete. Instant. Discreet.
At the core of Active Mini IX is the award-winning Integrated Xperience platform, including RealTime Conversation Enhancement, which tracks and enhances multiple speakers in real time as conversations shift. Enabled by a two-microphone directional system, it supports speech understanding in complex listening environments – delivering a level of performance not previously achievable in small, instant-fit devices.
With Active Mini IX, HCPs can conduct same-day fittings without custom molds. Its ergonomic shape supports a comfortable fit, with 97% of respondents reporting satisfaction in internal studies.[1] Signia Assistant continues to optimize the experience over time, supporting patient satisfaction between appointments.
Built for all-day wear, Active Mini IX delivers up to 21 hours of runtime, along with fast-charging capabilities that provide several hours of use after a short charge. Full connectivity enables streaming for calls, music, and media across both iPhone and Android devices.
With Active Mini IX, we’re delivering fully featured audiological performance in the smallest ready-to-wear ITE on the market, Alves added. It reflects our continued focus on expanding the IX platform across form factors – equipping HCPs to bring its speech understanding and conversation performance to more patients, in the designs they want to wear.
Active Mini IX will be available in all performance levels in Garnet Black, Rose Gold, and Pearl White, and is compatible with a range of streaming accessories, including TV Sound and StreamLine Mic.
