Aeven and PenSam sign 7-year IT operation agreement
22.12.2023 00:00:00 CET | Aeven A/S | Press release
Today, Aeven and PenSam embark on a 7-year collaboration. With this, the Danish IT company Aeven takes over the operation of PenSam's IT infrastructure, security, and parts of the development of PenSam's IT systems.

As a provider of critical IT infrastructure to both public and private companies, Aeven will become responsible for the overall operation of PenSam's digital infrastructure, security, as well as the development of the internal parts of PenSam's IT systems. The transition will begin in January 2024 and run until October 1, 2024, where the full handover of the operation will be in place.
Several members of the team in Aeven already have experience with PenSam's IT systems. Before Aeven was established by splitting from NNIT in the spring of 2023, NNIT has previously been responsible for PenSam's operations.
"The agreement with PenSam speaks directly to our core competencies within the financial segment and draws on our expertise with existing customers. We therefore know the market, and this gives us an opportunity to offer our expertise in digital infrastructure while focusing on their need for stability and security in operation," says Jane Banke, who was responsible for the delivery to PenSam back in 2010-2017.
CEO of Aeven, Henrik Bodskov, says:
"The fact that several of our colleagues in Aeven already have knowledge about PenSam is a big step on the way to a good collaboration. It is partnerships like this that allow us to be close to our customers, and this close dialogue is extremely important to us."
In the agreement as well as in the collaboration between Aeven and PenSam, safety and stable operation are pivotal. In addition to this, priority is given to maintaining a trusting relationship, as this is crucial for a continued successful collaboration.
"The close customer relationship is important to us, and we believe that being in close dialogue and knowing each other well, benefits both parties. It is a big task that PenSam entrusts us with, and it is important to us that they feel just as safe in Aeven's hands, as we feel about being assigned the responsibility for their IT operations," says Henrik Bodskov.
PenSam is also looking forward to the collaboration.
"We are very satisfied with our agreement with Aeven as we have emphasized experience in ensuring stable solutions, resulting in our employees being able to work efficiently. The agreement means that our internal systems are handled by Aeven, while we retain our current supplier of our standard life and pension solutions. We are very much looking forward to a good collaboration," says Morten Stokholm, Chief Information Officer at PenSam.
