Danish AI solution for doctors and clinicians to be operated on the Danish AI supercomputer Gefion and integrated with Denmark's leading practice system CGM
5.3.2026 10:03:08 CET | Peoples Doctor Aps | Press release
The Danish AI healthcare solution Peoples Doctor for secure and fast medical record-taking for clinicians, founded by, among others, the doctor behind NetDoktor, Carl J. Brandt, is now taking two ground-breaking steps forward in the work with responsible and safe use of AI in the Danish healthcare system.

Peoples Doctor has entered into an agreement with DCAI that the AI solution for Danish doctors and clinicians will be operated on Denmark's sovereign AI supercomputer Gefion. Gefion is located on Zealand and is operated by DCAI with the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the state investment company EIFO behind it. At the same time, the solution will also be integrated into Denmark's leading practice system CGM, so that clinicians can start reaping the benefits of AI even more easily and access the system in their existing tools.
- We are now taking a significant step forward to ensure responsible and secure AI in the Danish healthcare system, which will help doctors and clinicians to have more time with their patients. With the new collaboration between DCAI and Peoples Doctor, it is ensured that all data remains in Denmark. The supercomputer Gefion is specially designed to be able to handle the high level of security required when handling patient data. As Danish-owned and operated, it is also independent of foreign interests, and. It is fantastic that this is now possible in Denmark, thanks to this private-public partnership between the Novo Nordisk Foundation and EIFO, says Dr. Carl J. Brandt, co-founder and chairman of the board of Peoples Doctor Aps.
Peoples Doctor’s AI solution is already used by over 400 doctors and clinicians in all regions of Denmark to make faster and better medical records, which enables the doctor to have more time for his conversations with the patient and examinations, because the medical record work will in future be assisted by AI tools.
- While the system can now be operated safely in the future on Denmark's new AI supercomputer Gefion, the country's largest medical record system for clinicians, CGM, has decided to integrate Peoples Doctor's AI solution into their system, so that doctors can use the tool even more easily in their everyday lives, adds founder and CEO of Peoples Doctor, Dr. Lars Kensmark.
Last year, Peoples Doctor received a significant endorsement with an investment from the Danish State Investment Fund EIFO, which has also invested in the new supercomputer at DCAI in Lyngby with the aim of getting Denmark on board the AI bandwagon in a safe and sound manner. Gefion is Denmark's first and most powerful AI supercomputer, which aims to accelerate research within health, life sciences and green energy. The solution consists of 1,528 H100 GPUs and runs on 100% renewable energy.
People Doctor's collaboration with the medical record system CGM, which is used by the majority of general practitioners in Denmark, will also mean that doctors and other clinicians can access the benefits of the new AI solutions even more easily:
- We are impressed by People Doctor's approach to working with AI and patient data, and from now on offer doctors can use the service as part of CGM's existing platform, which they already use in their everyday lives, says Anita Christensen, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at CGM Denmark.
