STARK Group strengthens its UK network with major refurbishment
16.2.2026 08:00:00 CET | STARK Group | Press release
STARK Group is reinforcing its position in the Southwest of the UK with the relaunch of the modernised Jewson branch in St Austell, Cornwall. The investment reflects the Group’s ongoing ambition to build an efficient and future-ready branch network that supports tradespeople across the country.

The upgraded branch is the latest example of the business’s ‘Branch of the Future’ concept, which was founded on STARK Group’s experience in the Nordic countries, Germany, and Austria. With a strong focus on efficiency, accessibility, and an improved customer experience, the branch now offers an expanded product range and a layout designed to make it easier and faster for tradespeople to find the right materials while accessing expert advice.
Søren P. Olesen, Group CEO of STARK Group, says:
“Since Jewson became part of STARK Group in March 2023, we have focused on strengthening the fundamental capabilities of the UK business. Our investments have one clear goal: to build a modern operation that can support the construction, renovation and maintenance of both new and existing housing across the UK”
The reopening marks another step in STARK Group’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its UK market position through a combination of purpose-built branches, regional distribution hubs, and local modernisations. These investments aim to meet the industry’s evolving needs by ensuring better product availability, optimised logistics, and a more efficient customer experience.
The St Austell branch is strategically located in Cornwall, one of the UK’s ten largest regions. The area is characterised by an older housing stock with significant renovation needs, as nearly 70% of homes were built before 1980. The branch, therefore, plays a crucial role in ensuring that local tradespeople and contractors have easy access to the materials and expertise required to maintain, renovate, and improve the region’s homes.
Covering approximately 17,400 square metres, the branch reopens just five months after STARK Group strengthened its presence around London with the launch of its largest UK branch in Luton and the opening in Croydon.
