New digital solution strengthens STARK Group's climate documentation in the Nordics

Share

STARK Group is expanding its digital carbon monitoring capabilities across the Nordic region. Following earlier introductions of climate data tools in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, the Group has now launched a digital tool for carbon monitoring in Finland.

Over recent years, STARK Group has worked to make product-level climate information more accessible to tradespeople and contractors. This demand for data has grown as European building regulations increasingly require documentation of the climate impact of construction materials.

Across EU markets, lifecycle assessments (LCA) are gradually becoming mandatory in new‑build projects, requiring builders to document CO₂ emissions from both materials, construction processes, and a building's energy consumption over a 50‑year period.

The new digital solution in Finland has been developed to provide professional builders and contractors with easier access to verified climate information linked to their material purchases. As climate documentation becomes a more integrated part of construction projects, the tool helps customers manage the documentation required throughout a project’s lifecycle.

By integrating carbon data into existing digital systems, STARK Group aims to make climate documentation simpler and more accessible. Although the Nordic countries use different digital tools and platforms, the expansion reflects STARK Group’s ambition to create a more consistent approach to climate data across markets, even as national climate requirements vary.

More than 95% of STARK Group’s total emissions come from the building materials the company sells. By making product-level climate information easily available in digital tools, customers gain a practical way to better understand and document the climate impact of their material choices.

STARK Group is currently working on implementing similar climate‑monitoring solutions across all its markets
