6.1.2026 15:00:00 CET | Business Wire | Press release
115 vehicle and module products achieved CCC Digital Key™ certification, including the first certified vehicles in China
The Car Connectivity Consortium® (CCC), the trusted source for defining how vehicles interact with devices and the world to enhance the consumer experience through standardized, secure, and convenient connectivity solutions, marked a breakthrough year of explosive growth for the CCC Digital Key™ Certification Program. Throughout 2025, CCC certified 115 products from leading automakers and component manufacturers around the world. This turning point is shaping the future of the industry as digital keys move from early innovation to a core part of how vehicles are accessed and shared.
This surge is reflected in the wide range of vehicles and modules certified across all regions and manufacturers in 2025:

For a full list of individual certified vehicles and modules, visit the CCC Certified Products Showcase page.
These certifications build on the first achievements in 2024, when BMW Group and NXP became the first companies to certify one of their products. In March 2025, CCC extended the certification program to cover Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) and ultra-wideband (UWB) technologies, ensuring it keeps pace with the innovations driving secure, hands-free digital vehicle access.
In 2025, certifications also included the first CCC Digital Key™ certified vehicles from China, with new certifications from Ingeek, NIO, XPENG, and Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Volvo, Polestar, ZEEKR, Lynk & Co., smart, and Lotus). Their participation marks a significant expansion of the program into one of the world’s largest automotive markets. Across the broader Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, Mahindra & Mahindra in India and Hyundai Motor Company in South Korea also achieved certification.
“The surge of CCC Digital Key™ certifications in 2025 reflected a real inflection point for the industry,” said Alysia Johnson, CCC President. “We saw rapid adoption of the standard across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific, with particularly strong momentum in markets like China and Germany. This trend signals that digital key technology is moving from early adoption to global scale.”
With certifications accelerating across regions and manufacturers, 2025 became the most transformative year yet for CCC Digital Key™ adoption.
Market Growth and Industry Momentum
The global automotive digital key market, valued at $2.1 billion just three years ago, is projected to reach $11.6 billion by 2031 (Transparency Market Research). This growth reflects the industry’s shift from pilot programs to mainstream adoption, fueled by consumer demand for phone-as-a-key convenience, the rise of fleet and shared mobility services, and the broader move toward software-defined vehicles.
The CCC now counts more than 300 member companies, representing the broadest international collaborations focused on vehicle connectivity standards. Each new certification strengthens this ecosystem, creating a network effect that accelerates adoption and ensures digital keys work consistently across brands, devices, and platforms.
As digital keys become a foundational layer of vehicle access, certification plays a critical role in ensuring these experiences can scale securely, consistently, and globally.
Why Certification Matters
CCC Digital Key™ Certification confirms that products meet rigorous standards for interoperability and security. For automakers and suppliers, certification reduces integration risk, speeds time to market, and allows the use of the CCC Digital Key™ Certification logo to signal trust and quality. For consumers, certification ensures their digital key will work seamlessly across vehicles, smart devices, and services.
“A digital key is more than a convenience feature. It’s the foundation for next-generation mobility services,” said Johnson. “By certifying products to a common, open standard, we’re accelerating mainstream adoption and enabling new use cases that give consumers confidence their digital key will work reliably.”
From Everyday Use to Emerging Mobility Models
Certification supports a wide range of real-world use cases, from hands-free entry and key sharing to valet services, rental cars, and fleet management. As vehicles become increasingly software-defined, these capabilities will move from premium features to everyday expectations, creating new opportunities for both consumer convenience and commercial mobility.
