Spirii partners with Daimler Truck to power the TruckCharge Network across Europe

  • Spirii’s e-mobility platform will serve as the technology backbone of the TruckCharge Network, a new semi-public charging initiative for electric heavy-duty trucks (HDT).
  • TruckCharge Network is initiated by Daimler Truck and built on Spirii’s software technology, enabling depot owners to manage and monetise charging capacity, while allowing fleet operators to pre-book and access HDT-ready chargers.
  • Designed to complement existing depot and public charging infrastructure, TruckCharge Network is expected to grow into a major European heavy-duty charging network.

Copenhagen, Denmark – Spirii, a leading provider of e-mobility solutions and an Edenred company, is expanding its role in the European heavy-duty transport segment through a new cooperation with Daimler Truck to power the TruckCharge Network.

Built on Spirii’s advanced e-mobility platform, the initiative introduces a new model for heavy-duty truck (HDT) charging in Europe by transforming depot capacity into a connected, semi-public charging ecosystem that complements both private and public infrastructure.

Set to become a large European semi-public truck charging network, the initiative, operated under Daimler Truck’s TruckCharge brand, connects depot owners, fleet operators, and drivers through an interoperable digital infrastructure. This approach broadens charging availability for HDTs and accelerates electrification by adding strategically located depot-based capacity to Europe’s overall charging landscape.

Through the TruckCharge Network, depot owners can make unused charging capacity available in a controlled, revenue-generating way. Fleet operators benefit from access to a growing number of HDT-suitable charging locations across Europe, supported by the ability to pre-book charging slots.

At the core of the semi-public charging network is Spirii’s end-to-end digital infrastructure, which combines an advanced Charge Point Management System (CPMS) for depot owners with an eMobility Service Provider (eMSP) solution for fleets and drivers.

A new model for HDT charging in Europe

The semi-public charging model enables depot charging infrastructure that would otherwise remain unused to be shared with approved electric third-party fleets without disrupting daily operations.

Through Spirii’s CPMS, depot owners gain full visibility and control over charger performance, utilisation, access rights, and pricing – enabling them to decide how and when capacity is made available.

Fleet operators, meanwhile, can access strategically located, HDT-ready charging sites and pre-book charging slots via Spirii’s eMSP platform, improving route planning and ensuring operational certainty as they transition to electric fleets.

Together, these capabilities make Spirii’s platform and e-mobility services a crucial enabler of the TruckCharge Network, helping to make electric trucking more accessible, predictable, and operationally efficient.

Tore Harritshøj, CEO & Co-Founder of Spirii:

“The critical shortage of reliable charging options for heavy-duty trucks is one of the biggest barriers to electrification. Daimler Truck’s initiative to enable depot owners to open their charging infrastructure for shared use is a major step forward. We’re proud to bring our platform expertise to TruckCharge Network and help accelerate the shift to electric heavy-duty transportation.”
