Streamline design, manufacturing, and simulation workflows with improved robustness and performance.

Spatial Corp., the leading software development kit provider for design, manufacturing and engineering solutions and a subsidiary of Dassault Systèmes, today announced Release 2026 1.0 and updates across several product lines, reaffirming its commitment to providing innovative solutions.

Release 2026 1.0 delivers major enhancements across Spatial’s SDKs, improving CAD translation, data preparation, and meshing workflows. 3D InterOp adds expanded PMI, MBD, and CAD format support, while Hidden Body Removal (HBR) now extends to Parasolid-based translations. Furthermore, both 3D ACIS Modeler and CGM Modeler offer various enhancements including the new Mesh Prep for ACIS to simplify the creation of meshes for simulation workflows. Together, these updates boost interoperability, automation, and overall efficiency from design to manufacturing and simulation.

Enhancements include:

3D InterOp

  • SOLIDWORKS Reader Improvements
    • Roughness Product Manufacturing Information (PMI): Essential to control and optimize the machining quality based on the surface texture requirements of parts.
    • 3D Views and Captures: Views with annotations facilitate engineering collaboration by clarifying design intent. The information in views and captures can be directly consumed by CAM software and CNC machines for machining and inspection programming.
  • Support for Assembly PMI in Creo Reader: PMI defined in an assembly context ensures all components are accurately sized and positioned relative to each other.
  • STEP AP242 Support: With the Model Based Definition export in STEP AP242, designers and engineers can simultaneously develop the product’s design and manufacturing and quality control methods, generate long-term archives, and streamline supply chain collaboration.
  • Updated CAD Format Version Support
    • Creo Version 12
    • SOLIDWORKS 2026
    • NX 2506
    • AutoCAD® 2026
    • Inventor 2026
    • JT 10.10
    • Parasolid 38

Data Prep

  • HBR supports the following major formats:
    • STEP
    • IGES
    • JT
    • 3DXML
    • SOLIDWORKS
    • CATIA V5
    • NX
    • Creo
    • Inventor
    • 3D ACIS Modeler
    • CGM Modeler
    • Parasolid

This release also extends support to Parasolid-based translations.

3D ACIS Modeler

  • Model Comparison:Differences in models can now be readily viewed. In addition, the algorithm has been improved for performance and robustness.
  • CGM Hidden-Line Removal (HLR):New APIs can remove hidden bodies to significantly improve the performance of generating multiple 2D views from the same set of 3D input data.
  • New Product: Mesh Prep for ACIS:Mesh Prep for ACIS is an add-on in the 3D ACIS Modeler that provides tools to simplify the pre-processing of CAD geometry for simulation workflows. New functionality in Mesh Prep for ACIS includes:
    • Entity Snapping: Corrects minor misalignments between nearly coincident geometry to increase the robustness of subsequent Boolean operations used to generate geometry for meshing.
    • Centerline Computation: Simplifies a 3D tube-like shape into a 1D wirebody to reduce computational complexity by allowing the use of 1D mesh elements.
    • Mid-sheet generation is also now part of Mesh Prep for ACIS. Mesh Prep for 3D ACIS requires an additional license.
  • CVM and CSM for 3D ACIS Modeler: The algorithm to generate surface meshes using CSM has been improved in terms of both performance and robustness for complex geometries – including geometries with improper face intersections.

CGM Modeler

  • Query Radius from Neutral Fiber: Returns the radius of cylindrical tubes or pipes from the outer edge to the neutral fiber.
    • Polyhedral Wire Body: Creates polyhedral bodies from a set of points, both open and closed.
    • Limiting Body Creation: Allows the creation of limiting bodies to guide the selective removal of fillets in chains.
    • CVM and CSM for CGM Modeler: Sample code with detailed articles has been added to demonstrate adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) for surface meshes with CSM and volumetric meshes with CVM.
  • CSM Surface Mesher and CVM Volumetric Mesher: CSM and CVM are well integrated with both 3D ACIS Modeler and CGM Modeler. It offers improvements.
    • CSM and 3D ACIS Modeler: Improved robustness when handling 3D geometry with improper face intersections.
    • CSM, CVM, and CGM Modeler: Improved performance targeting fine mesh generation from complex 3D input geometry and new sample code to demonstrate the implementation of adaptive mesh refinement (AMR).

Forrester: Three Years Into GenAI, Enterprises Are Still Chasing Its True Transformative Value2.4.2026 16:00:00 CEST | Press release

Low AI fluency, uneven adoption, and marginal productivity gains are limiting enterprise-scale impact According to Forrester’s (Nasdaq: FORR) latest report, Accelerate Your AI Voyage, most enterprises are struggling to turn growing AI adoption and investment into measurable business impact. One of the key factors holding businesses back is low artificial intelligence quotient (AIQ) — Forrester’s measure of AI aptitude — with many employees lacking a clear understanding of how to use AI. Other barriers include an overemphasis on productivity-focused use cases, difficulty measuring impact, and siloed adoption within individual functions. While these challenges can leave firms frozen in doubt or indecision, the wait-and-see approach to AI adoption is no longer viable. To unlock AI’s full potential, organizations need to focus on four key areas: Define the business outcomes and success metrics for what they want AI to achieve; identify specific use cases for AI deployment aligned to those

Brightfin Unifies Brand Following Proven Optics Merger, Delivering a New Standard for Technology Cost Optimization2.4.2026 15:00:00 CEST | Press release

New identity reflects expanded vision to help CIOs “See Clearly. Spend Better.” Brightfin today announced that, following its merger with Proven Optics, the combined company will operate under a single brand: Brightfin. The unified company brings together deep expertise in Technology Expense Management (TEM) and IT Financial Management (ITFM) to help organizations better understand, manage, and reduce total technology spend. Technology spending will exceed $6 Trillion this year, and for most organizations, it remains one of the least understood. CIOs can tell you what they’re spending. Far fewer can tell you whether it’s working. “Over the past several months, we’ve brought these two businesses together around a shared purpose: help enterprise businesses better understand and optimize their technology spend,” said Joel Martins, CEO of Brightfin. “What we are seeing now is a shift. Visibility alone isn’t enough. Teams need to be able to act, tied to real financial outcomes. See Clearly.
