LEO Pharma strengthens leadership in medical dermatology with the appointment of Sophie Lamle as Chief Development Officer

Ballerup, Denmark, November 3, 2025 – LEO Pharma, a leader in medical dermatology, today announces the appointment of Sophie Lamle, D.Phil, as new Executive Vice President (EVP) of Development. Sophie will join the Global Leadership Team and will play an instrumental role in further strengthening LEO Pharma's Search & Development model.

Sophie joins LEO Pharma from Teva Pharmaceuticals where she led the global R&D innovative medicines team, overseeing assets across Immunology and Neuroscience, from discovery through commercialization. She has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry driving innovation, clinical development and strategic transformation.

Sophie is originally from the United Kingdom and has a D.Phil. in Chemistry from the University of Oxford. Prior to her role at Teva, Sophie brings experience spanning a variety of roles in Vectura, Novartis Pharmaceuticals and IQVIA.  

“Sophie is a very strong international profile and passionate about making a fundamental difference through innovation. With her experience and knowhow in partnerships and co-creation, as well as her strong leadership skills, she is the ideal candidate to lead Development in the next chapter of our journey,” says CEO Christophe Bourdon. 

Sophie Lamle will join LEO Pharma as EVP of Development on December 1, 2025. Prior to her start, Mark Levick will conclude his tenure as interim EVP but will continue serving as a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Innovation Committee.

Ballerup, Denmark, 18 February, 2026 – In 2025, LEO Pharma delivered a third consecutive year of double‑digit revenue growth (CER), at the upper end of guidance, and achieved a significant improvement in profitability, returning to positive net profit and free cash flow. The portfolio was strengthened by the launch of Anzupgo® in 10 additional markets, including the U.S., as well as the addition of Spevigo®. The pipeline was advanced through new late‑stage programs and strategic partnerships aimed at accelerating innovation. For 2026, revenue growth is expected to be 8-11% (CER), supporting further improvement in the adjusted EBITDA margin to 16-19%, alongside increased investments in innovation and LEO Pharma’s global platform. The phase 3 trial DELTA CARE 1 will recruit up to 652 adult patients with lichen sclerosus (LS) to investigate the efficacy and safety of delgocitinib cream compared to cream vehicle.1 The study initiation in LS is part of LEO Pharma's ambition to explore Anzupgo (delgocitinib) creme in additional indications beyond Chronic Hand Eczema (CHE), investigating the potential of delgocitinib as treatment option in skin diseases with high unmet medical need. There are currently no approved treatments specifically indicated for LS in the U.S. or in Europe. Delgocitinib cream has been shown to inhibit the activity of all four JAKs,2,3 making it a potential treatment option for people living with LS disease.
