UN City Copenhagen marks the 80th Anniversary of the United Nations on 24th of October
The United Nations marks its 80th anniversary on 24 October 2025, celebrating eight decades of advancing peace, human rights, social progress, and sustainable development across the globe. To commemorate this milestone, UN City Communications (UNCC) hosts a high-level event in UN City Copenhagen on United Nations Day. The Danish Minister for Environment and Gender Equality, Magnus Heunicke, will deliver a keynote, followed by panel debates with ambassadors, and experts, who will reflect on the UN’s legacy and discuss the future of multilateral cooperation in an evolving world.

United Nations Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. Celebrated every year, UN Day offers the opportunity to amplify our common agenda and reaffirm the purposes and principles of the UN Charter that have guided us for the past 80 years.
