STARK Group expands in Norway with new flagship branch

Share

STARK Group strengthens its presence in Norway with the opening of a new, purpose-built flagship branch in Sarpsborg, south of the capital, Oslo. The branch is operated by the Group’s Norwegian company, Neumann Bygg, and marks the company’s 20th location in Norway – and the third in the fast-growing Eastern Norway region.

The new branch in Sarpsborg reinforces the company’s continued investment in strengthening its presence in growth areas around major cities. It is Neumann’s third location in the Oslo region and an important step towards the company’s ambition to expand its footprint in and around the Norwegian capital.

The 6,300 m² branch combines Neumann’s comprehensive range of building materials with the expertise of Treprodukter Øst, the mouldings specialist acquired by Neumann in 2022. By bringing production, warehousing and sales under one roof, the Sarpsborg branch becomes a central hub for professional builders across Eastern Norway.

The branch is designed with a strong focus on sustainable solutions and is working towards achieving BREEAM certification in 2026. The rooftop features a solar installation with 1,480 panels and a capacity of 800 kWp. The system is expected to produce around 700,000 kWh annually, more than enough to cover the branch’s total energy consumption.

The solution delivers both economic and environmental benefits and underlines STARK Group’s ambition to reduce emissions and meet its climate targets, which are approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), including the goal of reaching net zero by 2050.
