STARK Group inaugurates new solar park in Denmark
STARK Group has inaugurated a 122-hectare solar park in Eastern Jutland as part of the Group’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions and achieve its approved climate targets. Developed in partnership with Mind Energy, the solar park will supply renewable electricity to STARK Group’s operations in Denmark.

The solar park is part of the long-term Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (cPPA) that STARK Group signed with Mind Energy in 2023. The agreement ensures a stable supply of green electricity and supports the Group’s ambition to use 100% renewable electricity across all markets by 2030.
Louise Askær-Hune, Senior Director Group Sustainability & ESG, says:
"We have set ambitious climate targets aligned with the Paris Agreement and are working diligently towards reaching net zero by 2050. The inauguration of this solar park is an important step in our ambition to use 100% renewable electricity by 2030. The project highlights our commitment to additionality – creating new renewable energy capacity rather than simply purchasing existing green power. Through our partnership with Energi Danmark, we actively contribute to increasing the amount of green electricity in the grid."
With an expected annual production of 132,000 MWh, the solar park will cover approximately 50% of STARK Group’s electricity consumption in Denmark, reducing the Group’s reliance on fossil fuels and lowering its carbon footprint.
The inauguration follows shortly after STARK Group’s climate targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The Group is committed to reaching net zero by 2050 and, by 2030, aims to reduce direct emissions (scope 1 and 2) by 45% and value chain emissions (scope 3) by 25%.
