DLG Group appoints EVP for Sustainability and Communications

As part of DLG Groups commitment to strengthening its sustainability efforts and integrating it further into the business, Claus Stig Pedersen has been appointed as Executive Vice President (EVP) for Sustainability and Communications.

Claus Stig Pedersen joins DLG Group from Deloitte, where he is Equity Partner and Nordic Sustainability Lead. He holds a M.Sc and a Ph.D. from DTU (Technical University of Denmark) and has worked with business-driven sustainability for 30+ years. He has previously been the Head of Global Sustainability at Novozymes and Head of Corporate Sustainability & Quality at Hartmann Packaging.


“We are taking an important step forward by appointing Claus as our new EVP for Sustainability and Communications. It reflects our commitment to integrating sustainability into all aspects of our business and bring results, ensuring that our initiatives are not only strategic in the long term, but also impactful across our business areas and bring value to our farmer owners, in the short term” says Group CEO Peter Giørtz-Carlsen and continues:

Integrating Sustainability and Communication to Drive Change
Stepping into the role on 1 June, Claus Stig Pedersen will join DLG Group’s Executive Committee. By establishing Sustainability and Communications as a new EVP area, DLG Group will ensure that sustainability initiatives are integrated, driven and communicated consistently and transparently, to engage internal and external stakeholders and owners in the green transformation.

I believe DLG Group has the opportunity to take leadership of the sustainability agenda in the industry and, together with key external stakeholders, drive the agenda forward. Meddelelse fra Niels Dengsø Jensen Jeg har dags dato meddelt min bestyrelse og ansatte ledelse, at jeg ønsker at stoppe som formand for DLG og give stafetten videre allerede nu. At være formand for DLG kræver fuld opmærksomhed, stor energi og at DLG prioriteres før alt andet. Det har altid været min ledestjerne igennem alle mine år som formand. De sidste måneder, hvor sagen vedr. Biocirc har fyldt meget, har været meget hårde og udfordrende både for DLG og for mig personligt. Og selvom en uvildig advokatundersøgelse i slutningen af marts affejede enhver tvivl om min ageren i sagen, og jeg efterfølgende fik helt entydig opbakning fra min bestyrelse til at fortsætte som formand, så har jeg måttet træffe den tunge beslutning, at det er nødvendigt at stoppe som formand for DLG nu. Jeg har den seneste tid fået nogle fysiske advarselssignaler, som gør at jeg må sætte tempoet ned. Jeg havde, som allerede udmeldt, besluttet at stoppe i foråret 2026. Det rykker jeg nu frem, så DLG kan fortsætte

Det bliver Lasse Hørbye Nielsen, der fremover skal stå i spidsen for presseindsatsen i DLG Group, hvor han tiltræder som pressechef ultimo februar. "Jeg er meget glad for, at Lasse har sagt ja til at påtage sig den vigtige opgave med at styrke vores synlighed og position i den offentlige samtale.
