TINDERBOX ANNOUNCES POSTER AND FINAL PROGRAM

On June 26, TINDERBOX opens the gates to our first festival in Odense. We have put together a powerful, challenging and varied music program with fantastic headliners, but also names that show the direction of the music in the coming years.

The festival site will be filled with exciting stalls and bars and decor, four stages, one of them, the Magic Box, will be a new and different installation inspired by the biggest electronic festivals in the world. We have been working intensively to make all aspects of the festival ready for the audience in June, and now we are ready with the final program.

However, unfortunately we have received a cancellation from Charli XCX who has been forced to change her tour dates due to logistical challenges, which means that she is not coming to Odense this time. The British newcomers Nothing But Thieves replace her act.

Tinderbox is adding 2 foreign names and one Danish today to the program, which is now complete.

Angel Haze from Detroit, Michigan, USA, is a female rapper and singer who has grown rapidly out of the underground in recent years, but she is still raw and unpolished. In addition to her first EP Reservation which she released free online, she has been given credit for several mixtapes as Classick and Dizzy Wright Mixtape, Free SmokeOut Conversations, and Reservation. From Reservation, the song Werkin 'Girls became a hit and was featured in the movie The Heat. She has amassed a huge fan base, in a very short period of time, and created a lot of buzz online. Her songs have been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times, and on YouTube, she has millions of views on singles like Battle Cry and Echelon.

Nothing But Thieves are a London Southend five-piece band, that are thunderous yet delicate, raw yet methodical, they evoke the profound dynamics of music’s more creative imaginations. Formed during their school years, the band began their career in the US with encouragement from their management, to then return to the UK with a much clearer vision of the sound they wanted. Their music is epic beautiful, and expectations of the band are huge in the US and England. We look forward to seeing this promising band at Tinderbox, even before they released their debut album, which is expected out in August. They play at a number of European festivals such as Reading, Leeds and Tinderbox.

TopGunn is an ace on the Danish music scene. First TopGunn worked with Kidd, where the couple created the song Kiss with Jamel, to see how easy it was to break through on the Danish music scene. Kiss with Jamel was immediately a big hit. Since the debut album 21 TopGunn has released huge hits like the Kongens Have, Dumt På Dig in cooperation with KATO, You Can Not Trust Girl With A Small Butt, club hit 6 Liter, and later, Veninder which already streamed over 2 million times. TopGunn has been nominated for several major music awards, won the GAFFA Prize as "The year's new name" (2013) and managed with the single Kongens Have to be the most streamed Danish artist throughout the summer of 2014. The song, also won a Zulu Award for "Hit of the Year".

"I am very proud of the first program for Tinderbox. It has actually been a very difficult year to book artists, as there are very few big names on tour this summer. So, the fact that we can present such a mass of great artists as Calvin Harris, Robbie Williams, Ellie Goulding, Major Lazer, The Prodigy, Faith No More etc. is really quite extraordinary, especially when we are a brand new festival. Personally, I think that it is the strongest festival program in Denmark this year.

Given that many of the other major festivals in Denmark, where from the very beginning, busy criticizing us for our cooperation with Odense Municipality. Makes me both proud and grateful for all the support that we have been given from the town of Odense our associates, volunteers, city officials, as well as our other partners.

Now we just look forward to hearing the music play and associates party in action, so Odense can have and celebrate the festival the city deserves! "
