Scandinavia's Largest Tech & Startup Event Expands, Fueling the Entrepreneurial Ambitions in The Nordics
19.9.2024 09:56:09 CEST | Bellagroup A/S | Pressemeddelelse
Copenhagen and Denmark are now attracting so many tech talents, entrepreneurs, and investors that Scandinavia's largest tech and startup event, TechBBQ, anticipates solid growth in the coming years. TechBBQ has agreed with Bella Center Copenhagen to host an event with 10,000 participants in 2025. The long-term goal is to transform Denmark and the Nordics into an entrepreneurial hub.

Denmark is currently riding a wave of innovation and startup growth. In 2023, the capital attracted a record number of international companies. Additionally, Denmark has just been named the most innovative country in the EU for 2024.
The development is so significant that Scandinavia's largest tech and startup event, TechBBQ, is now convinced that Copenhagen has the potential for further growth in the coming years. Therefore, TechBBQ has agreed with Bella Center Copenhagen to create the largest industry Summit in Denmark to date, with 10,000 participants in 2025 and even more in subsequent years.
"I'm incredibly proud to announce our agreement with Bella Center Copenhagen. It's more than a milestone for TechBBQ. It's the starting point for making Copenhagen and Denmark an impactful entrepreneurial hub in Europe," says Avnit Singh, CEO of TechBBQ, which has been bringing tech entrepreneurs, startups, and investors from around the world together annually since 2013.
The mission is to strengthen Denmark's position in the global entrepreneurial landscape by bringing all relevant actors together once a year. Through valuable networking and matchmaking, TechBBQ will foster new business ideas and solutions that benefit the entire society.
"We've just completed a successful TechBBQ at Lokomotivværkstedet, which attracted some of the world's leading experts in artificial intelligence. They were all overwhelmed by Copenhagen's potential. With our new agreement with Bella Center Copenhagen, which provides a much better framework for the event, it will become even more attractive for our foreign guests to come to Denmark," says Avnit Singh.
At Bella Center Copenhagen, there's also great excitement.
"We are very excited to welcome TechBBQ to Bella Center Copenhagen as their long-term partner for the many events and community activities that lie ahead," says Kevin Thyge Helsinghof, Commercial Director at Bella Center Copenhagen, and continues:
"As a key player in Denmark's dynamic startup environment, TechBBQ connects Danish and International startups and investors, and we are proud to support and create the framework for this important platform that drives both innovation and entrepreneurial growth," says Kevin Thyge Helsinghof.
While Bella Center Copenhagen is one of Scandinavia's largest convention centers owned by Bellagroup, TechBBQ is Scandinavia's largest tech and startup Summit, with 65+ countries participating annually. With the societal impact that TechBBQ creates each year at its Summit, and Bellagroup's size and experience, the partnership is an obvious match.
The dates for TechBBQ 2025 are set for August 27 and 28.
