Katharina Hofman Appointed Chief People Officer at Columbus
On 15 August, Katharina Hofman will join Columbus as Chief People Officer (CPO) with global responsibility for People & Culture. She previously served as People Team Director for EMEA and South America at Boston Consulting Group.
Katharina Hofman brings more than 20 years of experience in leading and developing HR functions in an international consulting firm, with particular expertise in driving organisational changes across geographies.
“As a consulting firm, our employees are our most valuable asset. It is therefore crucial that we attract and retain the best talents. With the appointment of Katharina, we welcome a senior HR leader who has extensive experience in the consulting industry and a strong strategic approach to driving organisational transformation in a global company. This is perfectly timed for the phase of our growth and development journey we are in now,” says CEO Søren Krogh Knudsen.
Katharina Hofman succeeds Per Fredriksson, who is retiring after 12 years at Columbus. The appointment of Katharina Hofman follows Columbus’ new growth strategy, New Heights. The strategy aims to strengthen the consulting firm’s position as a strategic and digital advisor for larger companies, and thus Columbus focuses on further developing the HR function to support the overall business development.
To support the strategic objectives, Columbus has launched the “People First” initiative, which aims to ensure that Columbus attracts and retains the best talents by creating an attractive and caring working environment. Katharina Hofman has extensive experience in building robust HR processes, creating a strong Employee Value Proposition (EVP), and driving successful career development programmes. Additionally, Katharina has a background as a business consultant and project manager, which means she has deep insight into how a consulting firm operates.
Katharina Hofman looks forward to developing Columbus’ People First focus and supporting the company’s transformation:
“I strongly believe in HR’s transformative power in achieving strategic business goals and look forward to working with a leadership team that values HR’s strategic mandate. Columbus’ values and leadership principles align with my own, and Columbus is on an exciting journey which I look forward to contributing to,” says Katharina Hofman.
Katharina Hofman has a German background and has worked internationally throughout her career. She holds a MSc in Business Administration from Eberhard-Karls- Universität in Tübingen, Germany, and has recently completed an MA in Arts Management at City University in London.
Katharina Hofman will be part of Columbus’ Group Management team, reporting directly to CEO Søren Krogh Knudsen, with the headquarters in Ballerup as her primary workplace.
