Get ready to be enchanted by the timeless melodies of Ukrainian Christmas carols!Join us from Dec. 16-18 as the renowned boys’ and men’s choir "Dudaryk" from Lviv, Ukraine, embarks on a special three-day concert tour across Copenhagen.

Mark your calendars for these magical performances:

"Dudaryk” will bring the heart of Ukrainian Christmas traditions to you. Founded in 1971 during the challenges of Soviet occupation, they became a shining example of Ukrainian musical excellence. Notably, they made history by performing under the Ukrainian flag in the USA just before the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine.Their mission is to enrich and promote Ukrainian musical heritage globally while preserving the centuries-old tradition of choral music in Ukraine. Christmas concerts in Copenhagen promise to be a captivating showcase of Ukrainian Christmas carols and traditions.

“Organizing and enjoying Dudaryk’s concerts in Copenhagen is a privilege. Our goal is for the prominent choir to be able to perform during wartime, to share the finest Ukrainian choral tradition with the Danish audience and contribute to the charitable choice of Dudaryk – supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The sad reality is that if today the boys of Dudaryk can still travel and sing, if Ukraine does not win this war with Russia, these chorists will join the ranks of many other professions including artists and scientists, engineers and poets who already comprise the Ukrainian Armed Forces defending freedom in the world. During Christmas time when millions of Ukrainian families will not be together for the second year in the row, the Ukrainians under temporary protection and the audience in Denmark can both enjoy the singing and support the Ukrainian choir bringing the music of gratitude for collaboration and hope from Ukraine,” says Nataliia Popovych, chairperson of Ukraine House in Denmark, initiator of the concerts.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of music, tradition, and unity this December. All concert profits will be donated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, supporting their fight for sovereignty and against ongoing Russian aggression.

The event is organized with support from the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Denmark.

Decolonizing Mindsets for Security in Ukraine and Europe19.4.2024 07:00:00 CEST | Presseinvitation

Dear Friend of the Ukraine House, In 2024, we still witness the consequences of imperial ambitions and the legacy of colonialism affecting international relations in Europe and threatening European security. The full-scale Russian war of aggression against Ukraine showed the real danger of ignoring the voices of the colonised, repressed and persecuted, and regarding only the former empire as a worthwhile stakeholder in international relations. What would the world have looked like if Russia wasn’t received with impunity after it launched its brutal wars of recolonisation against Ichkeria, Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine? Perhaps currently we would not be facing the largest war in Europe since the Second World War.
