Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association of Singapore (HFCAS) and Hydrogen Denmark enter collaboration

Del

Hydrogen Denmark and the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association of Singapore (HFCAS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The aim of the cooperation is to promote the deployment of hydrogen energy and fuel cell technology between Singapore and Denmark.

It is with great pleasure that the two national hydrogen and fuel cell associations, the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association of Singapore (HFCAS) and Hydrogen Denmark, have agreed to strengthen their bilateral cooperation with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, which paves the way to build a platform for exchange of information and will function as a stepping-stone to create a closer and more integrated cooperation.

More specifically, the areas of cooperation will include bridging the gap between the industry and research institutions in the two respective countries, bringing together hydrogen companies that can benefit from each other’s expertise. A large part of the collaboration between Hydrogen Denmark and HFCAS will center around knowledge sharing, through joint white papers, case studies and reports.

“Both Denmark and Singapore have set ambitious decarbonization targets for the upcoming years. To reach these objectives, it is a must to replace fossil fuels with a low-carbon energy vector as green hydrogen. This Memorandum of Understanding between both associations aims to support collaboration across all levels and generate actionable opportunities in this field,” says Miguel Laburu, Vice-President of HFCAS

“We are very happy to have signed this MoU with our colleagues in Singapore. Our two countries have many similarities, not least our common focus on decarbonizing the maritime sector via the use of hydrogen and hydrogen-based fuels.  Both Singapore and Denmark also have strong scientific environments, and R&D traditions. We look forward to work closer with our Singaporean counterparts and get even better acquainted with the innovative hydrogen sector in Singapore, to the mutual benefit of the members of both associations,” says Hydrogen Denmark’s CEO, Tejs Laustsen Jensen.
