The Danish Government presents new foreign and security policy strategy

Share
Minister for Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen presents the Government’s new foreign and security policy strategy today. The strategy sets out the general principles on how Denmark will navigate in a world that has become more tumultuous and unpredictable after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The strategy focuses on three overall foreign policy priorities.

First, a greater focus on the security of Denmark and Europe in light of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Second, a need for strengthened global partnerships and alliances.

And third, building a more robust and resilient society in terms of supply chains, energy, critical infrastructure and more.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen is presenting the strategy today as part of a foreign policy speech at the University of Copenhagen.

The strategy can be read here: Foreign and Security Policy strategy 2023 (um.dk)
