Columbus expands data & analytics portfolio with Infor Birst

“With certified consultants, we have started our first projects with Infor Birst. One of them is particularly interesting where Columbus is a partner for a major international customer in Food & Beverage,” says Lena Ridström, Senior Vice President Columbus and manager of the business area Data & Analytics.
The offer expansion within advanced analytics creates customer value through an increased ability to deliver what customers need to succeed in their digital transformation journey. Companies using Infor M3 are increasingly migrating from on-premise solutions to the cloud, and for them, advanced data analysis and business intelligence are crucial to achieve a data-driven strategy.
And Birst stands strong in comparison to similar solutions from other suppliers. Tina Algkvist, leading the Infor M3 business at Columbus, says Infor Birst can be a good choice for advanced analytics as competition intensifies:
“Data analysis is one of the most important tools modern companies have. However, the level of maturity differs between companies. By combining Infor CloudSuite with Birst, you get a comprehensive insight into your business, enabling smarter decision making, an increase in profitability, and a change to your business strategy”, says Tina Algkvist.
Including Birst in the portfolio is in line with Columbus’ strategy – providing digital advisory services in close partnership with its customers – and deliver best of breed solutions within all areas of expertise:
“For us, it is important to have a wide range of offers and solutions. To be credible as a strategic advisor, we must have a deep knowledge of the best possible digital solutions and cannot be dependent on a single partner in any of our areas of expertise,” says Lena Ridström.
Malte Ekedahl, Senior Vice President Infor Nordics, is happy that Columbus have chosen to add Infor Birst to its portfolio:
“Columbus offering Infor Birst as a data analytics tool suites our strategy to grow through our partners. Analytics is an integrated part of Infor CloudSuite, and makes it possible to mine the information from an ERP system to analyze. This can in turn support processes and give companies new insights and a competitive edge”.
The investment in Infor Birst has already led to several deals for Columbus and the future looks bright, as many of the customers' current – and future needs – can be met through the platform.
“Birst is well integrated with M3 CloudSuite and comes with a lot of ready-made content, it is easy to implement and gives customers a quick return on their investment”, says Lena Ridström.
