New technology is a climate-friendly Christmas gift to the building industry

The new constructions are invented by Professor Kristian Hertz at the Technical University of Denmark and have won the world championship in clean technology ‘Cleantech Open’.
‘In our new concrete technology, we use combinations of strong and lightweight concrete. This makes concrete elements lighter, more versatile, and more climate-friendly,’ says Professor Kristian Hertz.
Four element factories are built in the USA, four in Denmark and Finland, and more will come. The book is written by Hertz and Halding, supported by Realdania. It shows how the new technology can reduce material consumption, price, and CO2 emission for the full life cycle of structures.
