Appian receives ICT Supplier Award for outstanding collaboration, innovation, and speed

RESTON, Va., Sept. 11, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Appian (NASDAQ: APPN) today announced that Pirelli, company among the world's leading tire manufacturers and related services and with a turnover of more than 5.3 billion Euros in 2017, has awarded Appian with the 2018 Pirelli Supplier Award in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) category. This annual award recognizes companies for their outstanding partnership with the Pirelli organization.

Pirelli selected, among other companies, Appian for excellent performance in technology innovation and speed in delivering transformative business applications. The award ceremony took place in Pirelli’s headquarters in Milan, Italy, on August 31^st , presided by Chief Purchasing Officer , Matteo Battaini and by Chief Sustainability and Risk Governance Officer , Filippo Bettini. Appian was the only IT vendor to receive a Supplier Award in 2018.

Pirelli, a long-standing Appian customer, initially selected Appian’s business process management (BPM) platform in 2011 to efficiently structure some very complex and time-consuming processes that were not covered by specific solutions. Today, more than 2,500 Pirelli employees use Appian across 12 countries to support more than 65 core business processes. Appian applications handle from approval of invoices not related to a purchase order up to tyre moulds management.
