AEG Power Solutions introduces the latest addition to their extensive range of UPS solutions for the data and IT industry. The all new Protect 2.33 2.0 UPS series has been optimized to be even more compact and to offer improved efficiency. It is one of only a few systems offering internal batteries (up to 40kVA) while still maintaining a minimum footprint.

Hanover-CeBIT, Planet Reseller, 6th March 2012: Data and IT businesses need cost effective but highly reliable power supplies. AEG Power Solutions has over 60 years of experience ensuring that the unexpected is always prepared for and that the flow of power is maintained even in times of extreme duress.

With IGBT rectifier technology and an input power factor of 1, the Protect 2.33 2.0 series needs no filter or transformer, which results in a cost effective UPS with the smallest possible footprint, lowest weight and reduced generator requirements. Protect 2.33 2.0 is designed for protecting small to mid-size data centers and telecommunications systems, as well as IT networks and critical systems where power failure can lead to a loss of operations and service. Additionally, Protect 2.33 2.0 includes several communications features using a wide variety of existing protocols to meet any customer requirement.

Mohammed Aggabi, product line manager UPS at AEG PS elaborated further on the features of Protect 2.33 2.0: “This is the world’s first UPS with an icon-based color touch screen and user-friendly interface. With front and top access to all components it demonstrates AEG Power Solutions’ commitment to providing power backup systems that are simple to control and easy to maintain. We gave it integrated batteries so that it would be ready for immediate operation, thus minimizing commissioning efforts. Protect 2.33 2.0 is a standard product, available from stock, thereby reducing lead times.”

AEG Power Solutions can be found in the Planet Reseller zone (Hall 15 - D44/1) of CeBIT, where their representatives will be proudly presenting their extensive range of compact UPS products to the public and press alongside the newly available Protect 2.33 2.0 UPS.
