LEGOLAND® will build the world’s tallest LEGO® tower

The programme invites for a genuine world record attempt when the LEGO® World Tower takes place LEGOLAND®. From Tuesday to Saturday in week 26, everybody will be building like mad to break the current record of 36 metres.
The building event will take place in front of LEGOLAND as a round-off of a month filled with birthday activities.
"LEGO World Tower will be a cool conclusion of our birthday month. What could be more suitable than to start the next 50 years by chasing a world record and trying to build the world's tallest LEGO tower," says Pernille Steffensen, Event Manager at LEGOLAND.
Double world record attempt
When setting the last brick on 30 June, it is not the only world record attempt that is being pursued. From a height of 38 metres, it is the plan to drop a football that must be brought under control before it hits the ground.
"With the conjunction of the World Cup and LEGOLAND chasing a world record, we took the opportunity to get a hold of the YouTuber Brian Brizze to hear if he was up for a wild attempt, and fortunately was he. If we succeed, this will also be a world record, and breaking two world records in one day isn’t too bad," says Pernille Steffensen.
There will also be various building activities and competitions in connection with LEGO World Tower.
