Building upon a fifteen year history of engineering genuine Gore ePTFE membrane venting solutions for industrial, consumer and agricultural products, Gore launches the next generation of GORE® Packaging Vents, ensuring safer, more sustainable packaging through exceptional membrane performance and unmatched engineering expertise. Three new GORE® Packaging Vents will debut at Interpack 2011, May 12-18, in Dusseldorf, Germany.

The GORE® Universal Liner for Agrochemicals is a unique vented solution for pesticides and fertilizers, with advanced roll-off properties, a wide sealing window for easy induction sealing and a safe and robust design that reduces the chance of barrier delamination and product leakage.

The liner is made with a proprietary Gore™ ePTFE membrane that resists liquid penetration and equalizes pressure, even after exposure to particulates and aggressive solvents like NMP and Solvesso™. The GORE® Universal Liner provides high levels of airflow as well as controlled moisture vapor transmission, so active ingredients are not altered. Coupled with a large induction sealing window, it can withstand a higher temperature weld so you can be confident of consistent airflow, even with unavoidable variations in your process.

Also featured at Interpack 2011 is the 3FL Cap Liner, a full-faced foam liner for use in containers used to package consumer and agricultural products. These cap liners are engineered to provide liquid tight package and container integrity while also helping companies meet sustainable packaging goals.

Ingredients that are packaged in consumer and agricultural packaging applications can off-gas or consume air-space in their containers, causing leakage or distortion. Packages or containers that leak cause damage to labels, waste product and harm brand image. To solve this problem, packaging engineers often increase the container wall thickness. This may temporarily solve container distortion issues, however, more materials are used in the process and this has a direct effect on the overall container cost, recycling costs and package sustainability score.

The 3FL Cap Liner from Gore is constructed of a gas permeable expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) membrane that prevents liquid penetration, while equalizing pressure inside of a container. By using a 3FL Cap Liner, customers are able to reduce the weight of their containers and save on recycling costs, which helps them improve their overall sustainability scores. According to Terry Czerwinski, global product manager for GORE® Packaging Vents, “We have worked with customers in both consumer and agricultural packaging applications to realize a reduction in bottle weight, recycling costs and an increase in meeting sustainability goals. With a GORE® Packaging Vent integrated into a packaging design, these suppliers were able to improve their sustainability scores as part of their overall goals for achieving a sustainable packaging system.”

Lastly, Gore will be launching the D6 Molded Component at Interpack 2011, a container venting solution now available for consumer household products containing bleach, peroxide and other oxidizing agents. These press-fit packaging vents are uniquely designed to protect brand and package integrity.

The D6 Molded Component incorporates a Gore™ ePTFE membrane, which is engineered to deliver high levels of airflow and liquid barrier properties, even after exposure to low surface tension liquids. These high performance vents are well suited to equalize pressure within a container as well as aid in the dispensing of a liquid. By using a GORE® Packaging Vent, engineers are able to improve the performance of their package while protecting their brand and ensuring safety.

Forrester: Three Years Into GenAI, Enterprises Are Still Chasing Its True Transformative Value2.4.2026 16:00:00 CEST | Press release

Low AI fluency, uneven adoption, and marginal productivity gains are limiting enterprise-scale impact According to Forrester’s (Nasdaq: FORR) latest report, Accelerate Your AI Voyage, most enterprises are struggling to turn growing AI adoption and investment into measurable business impact. One of the key factors holding businesses back is low artificial intelligence quotient (AIQ) — Forrester’s measure of AI aptitude — with many employees lacking a clear understanding of how to use AI. Other barriers include an overemphasis on productivity-focused use cases, difficulty measuring impact, and siloed adoption within individual functions. While these challenges can leave firms frozen in doubt or indecision, the wait-and-see approach to AI adoption is no longer viable. To unlock AI’s full potential, organizations need to focus on four key areas: Define the business outcomes and success metrics for what they want AI to achieve; identify specific use cases for AI deployment aligned to those
