VXL announces Microsoft® RemoteFX ready WES7 Thin Client Desktops and Notebooks for enhanced Virtual Computing.
Global thin client hardware and software manufacturer, VXL Instruments, announces the launch of its new Microsoft® RemoteFX supported Windows Embedded Standard (WES) 7 desktop and notebook thin client line-up.
Available now, the Microsoft® RemoteFX optimised WES7 desktops include the current VXL 15 series (TC1527), C / Cs Series (C24 / C24s), Ds Series (D24s), Es Series (E24s) and 63 series (TC6324) models. As to the VXL-Lenovo co-branded notebooks, these include the latest 11.6” TL-120-24 and 14.1” TL-412-24 models.
Microsoft’s RemoteFX takes advantage of GPU virtualisation and advanced codecs to deliver a full Windows 7 experience, including next generation multi-media, including full-motion video and multiple displays for virtual desktop or notebook infrastructures hosted on Windows Server 2008 R2 (SP1) systems.
With the release of Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1, Microsoft now offers new capabilities for Remote Desktop Services and RemoteFX. Representing a set of RDP technologies, RemoteFX will allow operators to work remotely in a Windows desktop environment and be able to gain access via standard RDP 7.1 connection.
