Instantly Purify Your Tap Water, at the Touch of a Button with Waterlogic Firewall™

WATERLOGIC

Over the course of 2011, Waterlogic , the world’s leading brand of workplace drinking water dispensers, will be promoting its revolutionary Firewall ™ UV purification technology in response to the increasingly concerning reports about the future of our water infrastructure.

The predictions from Goldman Sachs* are becoming a reality “60% of all water main pipes in the US will be classified as substandard by 2020. Estimates for water infrastructure replacement and upgrades range from US$ 300 billion to US$ 1 trillion.” and Europe is also seeing a similar picture.

Whilst water is filtered and purified at municipal treatment plants, the vast ageing pipework infrastructure necessitates the addition of chlorine to control bacteria and viruses. Chlorine can have adverse effects on some types of water-pipes, and numerous studies confirm that consuming chlorinated water over one’s lifetime is not exactly beneficial to health. This poses a significant problem for organisations needing to consider the drinking water needs of staff and visitors.

“The solution is simple, install a Waterlogic Firewall™ water-cooler in the office, it’s very affordable and results in great tasting water.” states Waterlogic CEO Jeremy Ben-David. “Customers around the world are switching to Waterlogic as many see bottled water as; inconvenient, expensive and environmentally undesirable. Furthermore, tap-water can be filtered and purified to a level better than bottled water. This is why Waterlogic has, since 1993 focused on mains-fed water dispensers. The Firewall™ purification system provides excellent purification. For a few cents a litre our machines provide an endless stream of cold, ambient, hot and even sparkling water.”

Guarding against many of the more resistant strains of waterborne bacteria that can cause illness.

Dr Klaus-Peter Lörcher is a highly-regarded expert in the fields of analytical chemistry and drinking water, and Head of the Dr Lörcher Institute in Stuttgart, Germany. He explains, “Analysis has shown that the Firewall™ UV technology works outstandingly well and is capable of reducing even the more resistant bacteria in an excellent way. When tested after long periods of stagnation, the Firewall™ UV technology still produces excellent reduction ratios. Our Institute can certify that the Firewall ™ has a 99.999% (five-log reduction) against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Legionella pneumophila.”
