Meggitt Training Systems to Display Export-Ready Virtual Training Solution in Europe

Meggitt Training Systems will highlight its FATS® 100MIL (previously called the 100e ) at ITEC 2017 on stand 43 in Rotterdam from May 16-18, 2017. Leveraging key features from the US Army Engagement Skills Trainer II program of record, the FATS 100MIL delivers a significant expansion in virtual small-arms training capability. Company representatives will be available for demonstrations of the export-ready product during the show.

“Conventional and asymmetric threats across Europe necessitate increasingly rigorous training requirements,” said Mark Mears, managing director at Meggitt Training Systems, Ltd. “The FATS 100MIL represents the latest training solution for maximum realism in an era of constrained military budgets.”

Ideally positioned for direct and foreign military sales, the FATS 100MIL features a unique combination of capabilities for customers in Europe and beyond. Enhanced 3D marksmanship provides highly detailed terrains and targets, including weather, birds in flight and realistic ballistic effects.

Automatic coaching tracks the weapon sensor information with shot analysis that recalls customer doctrine and reinforces the fundamentals of shooting to the trainee. Tablet functionality maximizes session time by allowing the trainer to run the system wirelessly and move as needed. VBS3-based collective training supports Meggitt’s BlueFire® wireless weapon simulators, its full line of mortar simulators, close air support and Joint Terminal Attack Controller training.

Demonstrations will be available throughout the day at ITEC 2017 on stand 43 or by appointment at https://meggitttrainingsystems.com/About-Meggitt/Trade-show-schedule/ITEC-2017 .
