Re-Match, a pioneer within sustainable recycling of artificial turf, has placed the order for the machines which will be installed at its new factory in Tiel, the Netherlands. This is in line with the strategy and budget outlined in the recent IPO and represents the blueprint for the next five planned factories. In preparation for establishing its first factory outside Denmark, Re-Match has now placed an order for machinery at more than 8 million EUR with the same manufacturers that supplied the equipment for the factory in Herning. This state-of-the-art factory line will be designed to provide true recycling of approx. 55,000 tonnes of artificial turf annually – equivalent to saving around 200 million plastic bags. Re-Match, der er en pionér inden for bæredygtig genanvendelse af kunstgræs, har øget produktionen fra 2020 til 2021– hvilket styrker ledelsens tillid til den forventede produktionskapacitet på virksomhedens planlagte nye fabrikker. I 2021 genanvendte Re-Match ca. 26.000 tons materiale, hvilket er 22% mere end i 2020. Det er en rekord for den danske fabrik i Herning og den stammer dels fra en øget oppetid på 15%., dels direkte effektivitetsforbedringer på 7%. Produktionsniveauet har i 2021 konsekvent ligget over effektivitetsforventningerne for de kommende fabrikker, hvilket giver tillid til, at den næste bølge af fabrikker kan levere som planlagt. Herning, Denmark, 17 January 2022 – Re-Match Holding A/S, a pioneer within sustainable recycling of artificial turf, increases production year-on-year, thereby affirming management’s confidence in the projected output of the company’s planned new factories. In 2021, Re-Match, recycled approx. 26.000 tonnes of material, which is 22% more than in 2020. This represents a record production tonnage for the Danish factory in Herning, derived from increased uptime of 15% and a direct 7% year-on-year factory line efficiency improvement. The 2021 production levels are now consistently above efficiency expectations for the coming factories, and drives comfort that the next wave of factories can deliver as planned. Den danske recycler af kunstgræs, Re-Match, fortsætter sine vækstplaner og er nu klar til at etablere den første af flere nordamerikanske genanvendelsesfabrikker i Luzerne County, Pennsylvania – kun 200 km fra New York City. Ved at lease en ny bygning på godt 11.000 kvm i Hannover Township, tager Re-Match det næste skridt i sin ekspansionsstrategi med etableringen af det første af sine genanvendelsesanlæg uden for Europa. Resultatet vil være en topmoderne fabrik – bygget efter samme skabelon, som bliver anvendt til selskabets kommende fabrikker i Holland og Frankrig. I fuld drift vil fabrikken kunne behandle over 60.000 tons affald og spare miljøet for næsten 100.000 tons CO2 årligt i forhold til hvis kunstgræsbanerne blev sendt til forbrænding. By leasing a new building of more than 11.000 sqm in Hanover Township, Luzerne County, Re-Match is taking the next step in its expansionary strategy by establishing the first of its turf recycling facilities outside Europe. The result will be a state-of-the-art recycling facility – using the same template developed for its coming factories in the Netherlands and France. Denne gang har fokus været på bæredygtig og sporbar behandling og håndtering af plastfibrene, som er omfattet af EuCertPlast-certifikatet. The artificial turf recycler, Re-Match, have been accredited with yet another certification of its processes. This time, the focus has been on the sustainable and traceable processing and handling of the plastic fibres, which is covered by the EuCertPlast certificate. Re-Match has since 2016 recycled more than 600 artificial turf pitches in its facility in Herning, Denmark. These pitches have come from countries across Northern Europe and the company’s patented recycling process has received both EU ETV (Environmental Technology Verification) and ISO 9001 approval. The EuCertPlast certification validates that a recycler applies best practice processes, complies with operational standards for recycling of plastic – and handles the plastic fibres in an environmentally responsible way which also allows full traceability of the recycled material.
