Turið F. Arge appointed new CEO of BankNordik

BankNordik’s Board of Directors has today announced that Turið F. Arge will be appointed as new CEO, succeeding the current CEO, Árni Ellefsen. Furthermore, Heini Thomsen is appointed as new EVP. Árni Ellefsen will stay on as CEO, expectably until after release of the annual report 2022.

 

When Árni Ellefsen tendered his resignation as CEO in April, the Board of Directors of BankNordik launched a search for a new executive team for the Group. Today, the Board is pleased to announce that BankNordik’s new executive team from July 1^st 2022 will consist of: Árni Ellefsen in the position as CEO, Turið F. Arge who will take up the position as executive vice president, and Heini Thomsen who will join as executive vice president.

 

To ensure a proper handover process and to maintain BankNordik’s solid operational foundation, Árni Ellefsen will stay on as CEO during a transition period until Turið F. Arge takes over as CEO.

 

Turið F. Arge has been with BankNordik since 2007 and during her career with the Group she has served in a number of different management positions, most recently as chief operating officer. She holds an M.Sc. in Business Administration and Auditing as well as an Executive MBA. Turið F. Arge has been part of the Executive Management since 2015 and a driving force behind the Group’s positive development.

 

Heini Thomsen is a state-authorized public accountant and brings long-standing experience in auditing listed companies and financial businesses from his position as partner of auditing firm, Januar. In addition to his professional skills and experience, Heini Thomsen has many years of management experience from the audit industry.

 

BankNordik will now initiate the process of attaining the necessary fit and proper approvals from the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority.
